For students unable to attend the virtual new student orientation last week, Central Texas College (CTC) will host a second new student orientation online Thursday, August 20. The orientation will start with an overview at 9 a.m. which includes a discussion of Blackboard (CTC’s online learning management system), basic information on CTC policies, a faculty panel and a question/answer session.

Based on the current spike in COVID-19 infections, Central Texas College (CTC) will introduce “real-time virtual” classes in addition to the blended and online delivery formats for the fall 2020 semester. The new class format provides real-time, virtual attendance at specific days and times allowing students to interact live with their instructors in a virtual environment.

Central Texas College (CTC) will introduce several new degree and certificate programs in the fall 2020 semester. The new additions include Associate of Applied Science degree programs in robotics technology and cybersecurity, fine arts and child development. New class offerings were added in the areas such as business, drafting and design, communication and social science.
