Central Texas College issued the following announcement.
The public is invited to view the Fort Hood fireworks display on July 4 from the Central Texas College campus. All CTC policies and guidelines must be followed. These include no alcohol, weapons, fireworks, open flames or any other illegal items on campus. Access to campus will not be allowed until 7 p.m. Road barriers will be put up at all entrances to the campus until then. Parking is allowed only in parking lots only, not on the grass or any fields. Tailgating is not permitted.
The public is also required to remain in their vehicles throughout the display. However, anyone needing to leave their car for any reason is required to wear a face covering and observe social distancing. Port-A-Potties will be available in select parking lots for bathroom emergencies along with hand sanitizer stations. Again, anyone leaving their car must wear a face covering and adhere to social distancing. Food trucks will not be allowed on to the premises for the sale of food. Also, no littering is permitted.
Campus police will be on hand to assist those in need and ensure campus policies are being followed.
