Central Texas College issued the following announcement.
The Central Texas College Student Life and Persistence department will host a series of virtual events and activities for students during Welcome Week, August 24-28. During the first week of classes for the fall semester, students can enjoy a virtual scavenger hunt, community gaming, a treasure hunt, Pictionary and other online contests.
Welcome Week activities are from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. and include a weeklong series of events and games hosted by the library including virtual Pictionary. To participate, use the link https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCT04yozMOiYGmsB5hp3H_ZQ ,

Other weeklong activities include an online treasure hunt hosted by Disability Support Services and the Student Success department’s virtual scavenger hunt.
On Wednesday, Student Life will host virtual community gaming starting at 1 p.m. Winners of each contest will be announced on Friday, August 28.

The following week, CTC will host Spirit Week to promote CTC Eagle pride. When attending class virtually on Monday, August 31, students should wear their favorite CTC apparel. On Tuesday, September 1, Sharon Watkins, CTC assistant loan officer, will host a live session on financial literacy entitled “Putting life back together after COVID-19.” The presentation will highlight resources available for students who are struggling due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The session will be live on the CTC Facebook page or students can participate at http://ctc4.me/FinancialLit.
Burn a few calories during Spirit Week on Wednesday, September 2 with a live workout on Facebook featuring an instructor in the Kinesiology department who will conduct a 30 to 45-minute workout starting at 10 a.m. No equipment is necessary to participate. Spirit Week concludes Thursday, September 3 with free, all-day virtual tutoring starting at 10 a.m.
Students can use #ctceaglepride for both Welcome Week and Spirit Week activities.
