Rep. August Pfluger, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Texas’ 11th district, shared a series of tweets on March 5, 2025, expressing his views on American energy policy and legislative priorities. Pfluger has been a congressional representative since 2021, succeeding Mike Conaway.
In his first tweet of the day, Rep. Pfluger expressed support for former President Donald Trump’s stance on American energy policy. He stated: "YES, @POTUS! President Trump knows that American energy is the cornerstone of the American advantage ".
Later that morning, he emphasized the importance of formalizing executive orders into law. In his tweet, he declared: "We must codify @POTUS’ executive orders. The American people gave us a mandate!".
In another post shortly thereafter, Rep. Pfluger highlighted upcoming legislation known as the TAKE IT DOWN Act. He tweeted: ".@POTUS just said he will sign the TAKE IT DOWN Act into law!
