There were 93 white students enrolled in Blanket ISD schools in the 2022-23 school year, 1.1% more than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Data showed that Blanket ISD schools welcomed 142 students during the 2022-23 school year. Among them, white students comprised 65.5% of the student body to be the most represented ethnicity in the district.

Blanket ISD roughly covers schools within Brown County and has a main office in Blanket.

Blanket School was the only school in the district which enrolled white students, welcoming 93 students in the 2022-23 school year.

The Texas education system is currently torn between public schools and taxpayer-funded private schools.

Critics argue that private schools use funds that should go to the public school system, while private school advocates claim they’re offering better education for more Texas students.
