There were 145 students enrolled in Panther Creek CISD schools in the 2022-23 school year, 12.1% less than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2022-23 school year, 55.2% of them were boys, and 44.8% were girls.

Data also shows that the majority of students were white, representing 77.9% of the Panther Creek CISD total enrollment.

Panther Creek CISD roughly covers schools within Coleman County with its main office in Valera.

The Texas education system is currently torn between public schools and taxpayer-funded private schools.

Critics argue that private schools use funds that should go to the public school system, while private school advocates claim they’re offering better education for more Texas students.
