Rep. August Pfluger, serving Texas' 11th district in the U.S. Congress, recently shared updates on legislative priorities and regional activities through social media. Pfluger addressed the potential impact of tax policy changes and discussed energy-related matters concerning the Strategic Petroleum Reserve (SPR) and the Permian Basin. On April 15, 2025, Pfluger highlighted the implications of Tax Day, pointing out the potential financial burden on Texas families. I am committed to ensuring the Trump tax cuts remain permanent for hardworking Americans and families."
Addressing energy policy, Pfluger remarked on April 16, 2025, about the state of the Strategic Petroleum Reserve. In a tweet, he stated, "President Biden tapped the Strategic Petroleum Reserve more than any President in history, yet never fulfilled his promise to refill it. The SPR is still half-empty, and with oil hovering around $60/bbl, it's time to act. We must refill the SPR with American oil and secure our."
Also on April 16, 2025, Pfluger shared his experience of hosting officials in the Permian Basin, an energy-rich region in Texas. He noted in his post, "I had the pleasure of hosting EPA Regional Administrator Scott Mason and my fellow @HouseCommerce colleague @RepFedorchak in Midland yesterday! The Permian Basin leads the world in energy production, and it was an honor to have them see what the region is all about."
August Pfluger is currently serving in the U.S. Congress, representing Texas’ 11th district. He replaced previous U.S Congress member Mike Conaway in 2021.
