How many Hispanic students were enrolled in Ballinger ISD schools in 2022-23 school year?

There were 393 Hispanic students enrolled in Ballinger ISD schools in the 2022-23 school year, 2.2% less than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Data showed that Ballinger ISD schools welcomed 817 students during the 2022-23 school year. Among them, Hispanic students comprised 48.1% of the student body to be one of the most represented ethnicities in the district.

Ballinger ISD roughly covers schools within Runnels County and has a main office in Ballinger.

Among the five schools in Ballinger ISD schools, Ballinger Elementary School recorded the highest enrollment of Hispanic students in the 2022-23 school year, with a total of 157 students.

Texas is found to be one of the least-educated states in the U.S. A study from WalletHub ranked Texas 41st out of 50 states in terms of the quality of the educational system and how successful students were.

More than 5.4 million students are enrolled in public schools across Texas. Nearly one million of them live in rural areas where options for local public schools are few and far between.
