There were 51 Hispanic students enrolled in Gordon ISD schools in 2022-23 school year

There were 51 Hispanic students enrolled in Gordon ISD schools in the 2022-23 school year, 27.1% less than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Data showed that Gordon ISD schools welcomed 239 students during the 2022-23 school year. Among them, Hispanic students comprised 21.3% of the student body to be one of the most represented ethnicities in the district.

Gordon ISD roughly covers schools within Palo Pinto County and has a main office in Gordon.

Gordon School was the only school in the district which enrolled Hispanic students, welcoming 51 students in the 2022-23 school year.

Texas is found to be one of the least-educated states in the U.S. A study from WalletHub ranked Texas 41st out of 50 states in terms of the quality of the educational system and how successful students were.

More than 5.4 million students are enrolled in public schools across Texas. Nearly one million of them live in rural areas where options for local public schools are few and far between.
