There were four Pacific Islander students enrolled in Gorman ISD schools in the 2022-23 school year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Data showed that Gorman ISD schools welcomed 253 students during the 2022-23 school year. Among them, Pacific Islander students comprised 1.6% of the student body to be one of the least represented ethnicities in the district.

Gorman ISD roughly covers schools within Eastland County and has a main office in Gorman.

Among the three schools in Gorman ISD schools, Gorman High School recorded the highest enrollment of Pacific Islander students in the 2022-23 school year, with a total of two students.

The Texas education system is currently torn between public schools and taxpayer-funded private schools.

Critics argue that private schools use funds that should go to the public school system, while private school advocates claim they’re offering better education for more Texas students.
