How many students were enrolled in Santa Anna ISD schools in 2022-23 school year?

There were 270 students enrolled in Santa Anna ISD schools in the 2022-23 school year, 6.7% more than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2022-23 school year, 54.1% of them were boys, and 45.9% were girls.

Data also shows that the majority of students were white, representing 65.6% of the Santa Anna ISD total enrollment.

Santa Anna ISD roughly covers schools within Coleman County with its main office in Santa Anna.

Among the two schools in Santa Anna ISD, Santa Anna Elementary School recorded the highest enrollment of 155 students in the 2022-23 school year.

Education in Texas is often a hot button issue, especially as test scores lag behind other states.

"The problems commonly cited are flaws in the school financing system, relatively low teacher salary, poor test performance by students... dropouts from traditional schools in favor of charter schools... gun violence, and mental health issues," claimed the Texas Almanac.
