Mullin ISD Education: 195 students were enrolled in schools in 2021-22 school year

There were 195 students enrolled in Mullin ISD schools in the 2021-22 school year, 10.1% less than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2021-22 school year, 55.4% of them were girls, and 44.6% were boys.

The most represented ethnicity among Mullin ISD students was white, accounting for 48.7% of the student population.

Mullin ISD roughly covers schools within Mills County with its main office in Mullin.

Among the four schools in Mullin ISD, Mullin Main recorded the highest enrollment of 97 students in the 2021-22 school year.

Education in Texas is often a hot button issue, especially as test scores lag behind other states.

"The problems commonly cited are flaws in the school financing system, relatively low teacher salary, poor test performance by students... dropouts from traditional schools in favor of charter schools... gun violence, and mental health issues," claimed the Texas Almanac.
