City of Eastland issued the following announcement.
The City of Eastland, through their contracted solid waste disposal company Waste Connections, offers free bagged leaf pickups twice monthly to residential customers in Eastland. The pick-ups are each 2nd and 4th Friday (December 25 will be picked up on December 26) beginning December 11, 2020 through March 26, 2021. Residents must call City Hall at 629-8321 at least 24 hours in advance to be placed on the pick-up list. Bagged leaves should not be placed curbside more than 48 hours in advance of the pick-up date to remain in compliance with City Ordinances Article III, Section 9-19 and 9-21.
Pick Up Dates Are: December 11 December 26 (Saturday)
January 08 January 22
February 12 February 26
March 12 March 26
These are the only dates the bagged leaves will be picked up. Waste Connections will not pick up bagged leaves any other dates but those listed above. Residents who need to dispose of bagged leaves before or after these dates should contact City Hall to schedule an appointment to take the leaves to the City Convenience Center, open Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays 9 a.m. until 2:30 p.m.
