55 percent of applicants to Tarleton State University were admitted for fall 2018

At Tarleton State University, 79 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 62 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year public institution in Stephenville enrolled 13,109 students in fall 2018, including 11,315 in undergraduate and 1,794 in graduate programs, data shows. 12.2 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

98 percent of undergraduates are residents of Texas, and 1 percent are residents of other states.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (65 percent) and Hispanic or Latino (20 percent).

The school admitted 55 percent of the 10,428 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 38 percent enrolled.
