Representative August Pfluger, who serves Texas' 11th District in the U.S. Congress, shared a series of updates on social media regarding recent events and political developments. Pfluger, born in Houston in 1978 and residing in San Angelo, has been active in Congress since succeeding Mike Conaway in 2021.

On February 20, 2025, Rep. Pfluger expressed his honor at witnessing a naturalization ceremony. He stated: "Today, I had the privilege of witnessing ten new Americans take their oath of citizenship in San Angelo, and welcoming them as new citizens of the greatest country on earth. Congratulations to all on this wonderful achievement!"

Later that day, he commented on an executive order signed by President Biden concerning federal benefits for undocumented immigrants. Rep. Pfluger remarked: "@POTUS signed an executive order to END federal benefits for illegal aliens last night. The fact that illegal aliens were receiving taxpayer-funded benefits in the first place is INSANE. We are finally restoring sanity and putting Americans first!"

In another post on February 20, Rep. Pfluger welcomed Representative Andy Harris back to the Republican Study Committee with enthusiasm: "Excited to have you back on the @RepublicanStudy Committee, @RepAndyHarrisMD!"
