Texas Comptroller Glenn Hegar recently announced that $890.5 million in monthly sales tax revenue has been allocated for cities, counties, transit systems and special purpose taxing districts, according to a news release from the Texas Comptroller's Office.
The $890.5 million in local sales tax allocations for the month of November was 4.8% higher compared to November 2019. These allocations are based on September sales by businesses that report tax monthly and sales made in July, August and September by businesses that report tax quarterly.
Erath County has been allocated $287,083.96 which is 15.27% higher than the amount it received last year. Palo Pinto County has been allocated $154,776.92 which is 56.15% higher than the amount it received last year. Hamilton County has been allocated $53,413.02 an increase of 31.34% compared to last year.
While allocations on average are up this year, some were allocated less funds compared to last year.
Comanche County has been allocated $57,554.23 a decrease of 6.15% compared to last year. Runnels County has been allocated $80,273.75 a decrease of 5.94% compared to last year.
